Lakeview Villa

Villa is lovely, everything you need is there. Lots of information at the entrance too on local attractions if needed. comfy bedrooms, loads of space, TV in each room and good games room for the older kids.
We stayed at a party of 5 and enjoyed the pool and spa each evening when we got back in.
Neighbours quiet, lake at the back is lovely to watch and very relaxing.
On our final day we totally forgot a suitcase and only realised once we got back to the airport. Not knowing what to do we called the UK to Joanne the owner who immediately answered and helped us to coordinate getting back to collect it. Also didn't charge us the 50 dollars her management company wanted to charge us for retrieving it. Excellent customer service as it was very traumatic having to get an uber back to the area leaving everyone else at the airport waiting. Would definitely return and cant say thanks to Joanne enough

We stayed as a a party of 5, quiet area but close to everything. Pool and spa great. Beds comfy.
On arrival at the airport we realised we had left a bag and the management company wanted 50 dollars off us to collect it from them as it was out of hours. Joanne was called in the UK for help as at first we didn't know what to do to get it back, Joanne sorted it all out and did not charge us for the cost of our error. Great customer service.

We travelled from the North of Scotland to this villa. We four adults, one with a learning disability and two children (ages 4 and 14) arrived around midnight armed with a door handle code and a key safe PIN number. Neither worked. However we had been given the emergency contact number of the villa manager so we phoned and phoned and phoned the number and no one picked up. Around 1am when the panic had really kicked in we decided to phone 911 and after another 45mins the police somehow managed to contact the manager and get the right key safe PIN. So we eventually got into the villa, stressed beyond belief and exhausted. The Wi-Fi and landline phone were not working in the house at this point.
After going out for breakfast later that morning we arrived back to the villa to find the manager in the villa. He told us that there had been a ‘bad’ group of people in the villa a few months back and he had changed the key safe number as a precaution and he had told the owner this a few months back. He also told us the door handle code was not working and the owner had been told this too.
First thing in the morning I had texted the owner and told her about our severe disappointment at not having the correct code and that neither the wi-fi or the landline phone were working using the information in the house welcome booklet for guests. She gave us an alternate wi-fi and password which worked. She said she was confused about the PIN because a friend had stayed at the villa very recently and had no problems. How could this be if the manager had changed it months ago?
We found a few inconsistencies in the house welcome booklet re phone numbers, wi-if password etc and asked the manager to take it with him, update it and bring it back asap. We never saw the booklet again.
Almost every second day I texted / emailed the owner and told her the house phone was not working and she gave various excuses and said that someone would sort it but they never did. The manager never even tried. We really did need the landline phone and had relied upon it being there to use to book attractions etc. It had been listed as an amenity after all! The master bedroom tv didn’t work and the tv had a PIN on it so we couldn’t use our Netflix or Prime. I did contact the owner about this too and eventually got the PIN number. The landline never worked.

All in all communication between the owner and the manager is very poor and the communication between the owner and us was extremely poor and caused us great panic and stress. We used our mobile phones where we had relied upon having a landline phone and find ourselves very much out of pocket.
With respect to the villa it is obvious that there have been very few guests recently (Covid??) and is in need of some TLC (lamps and toaster) and a good clean. The garden needs weeded and tidied up.
This villa may have been exclusive at some point but it is definitely not now. All of the villa issues we could have forgiven if the owner had taken ownership of the dreadful communication, stopped giving excuses and gone some way in making good our experience better.
Would you like to be in a tropical rainstorm at 1am, exhausted, scared, and stressed trying to pacify children who need their bed?

This is a great villa, it has all the facilities you could need on vacation to make your stay very comfortable at a very reasonable price. It is in an ideal location for visiting all the attractions or you could spend all day at the villa in a very relaxing environment enjoying the swimming pool, spa, pool table, air hockey, games console whilst enjoying the view over the lake.
The owners were very quick to respond to any requests or queries and made the booking process simple.
We had a very relaxing vacation and are already looking to return to this villa next year.
