A brand new Transformers attraction is set to open at Universal Studios Orlando in Summer 2013. This new addition to one of Orlando’s best theme parks will probably be located next to the very popular Shrek 3D ride. The new Transformers attraction will use characters from the three popular films, and will without doubt appeal to guests of all ages. Although the true format of the attraction is yet to be confirmed, the likelihood is that it will follow on from existing Transformer rides located in Universal California and Singapore. The photo realistic 3D landscape totally envelops the riders as they travel along in a 12 seat vehicle no doubt similar to those used on the Spider-man ride in the Islands of Adventure park.
The ride will no doubt include a number of popular characters including BumbleBee and Optimus Prime. Each Transformer will stand 30 feet, grabbing the attention of the riders as they speed through streets and subways amid blasts and explosions.
As with many large budget rides and attractions, the opening ceremony is sure to be an epic production in its very own right. The estimated cost of the Universal’s newest Transformers attraction is said to be in the region of 90 to 100 million dollars. Big money for what is sure to be a big ride.
