4 Great Orlando Shopping Malls
Thanks to the advantages of a positive exchange rate for many European visitors, Orlando is without doubt one of the best vacation destinations for those who like a little retail therapy. From designer labels to electronics there are some some great deals to be had in any of the shopping malls in and around the Orlando area.
Florida Mall.
Located about 5 minutes drive from the Orlando International Airport Florida Mall is both a favourite amongst residents and international visitors alike. With over 250 stores, the mall provides a spacious air conditioned environment in which to relax as you meander in and out of your favourite outlets and department stores, which includes the fabulous Macys and JC Penney. There is ample free parking surrounding the mall, just ensure you remember where you parked your vehicle. Although the food court can get very busy, there are plenty of choices of take away style cuisine on offer.
Altamonte Mall
Located north of down town Orlando on 415 East Altamonte Drive Altamonte Springs, Florida 32701, Altamonte Mall offers shoppers a great opportunity for some quiet shopping. It is ideal for a lazy afternoon away from the Orlando theme parks and is home to about 160 stores. As at all Orlando shopping malls regular parking is free of charge.
Mall at Millennia
Located at 4200 Conroy Road Orlando, FL 32839, Mall at Millenia is considered by some to be the premium Orlando shopping mall, thanks to its modern architecture which includes a full glass roof and its variety of shops and outlets to suit all purses and wallets. The mall is the only place where visitors can shop at the likes of Tiffany & Co, Gucci, Prada and Jimmy Choo. If like me you find the prices at these top designer stores a little too high, you can take in any of the other stores such as Apple, Macy’s, H&M and Blommingdales. The food court located on the first floor of the mall is spacious and provides a number of different options when considering your meal. This area can get very busy, so it is sometimes best to secure a table before ordering your food to save wandering around with trays of hot food. Valet parking is available at a charge, as is free regular parking.
Winter Park Village
Winter Park Village, is an exciting open air mall located on Hwy 17-92. Offering a selection of shopping and dining experiences the mall is a pleasure to stroll around although due to the fact that it is in the open, it can get hot. Smaller than many of its in door counterparts, Winter Park Village is a great alternative and well worth a visit.
